Timeline –
Revelation scriptures lined up in time sequence
If you disagree with something, or think I have made a mistake, contact me. I have tried not to make a mistake in the lineup below.
1.
Day of wrath begins |
Revelation 6:1-2
The Lamb rides out
|
Revelation 11:19-12:2
The temple is seen; the infant (non functional) kingdom is born; that is, the sleeping Saints are resurrected.
|
|
2. |
|
Revelation 12:7-10
Satan and his crowd no longer have access to heaven |
|
3. |
|
Revelation 13:1-2
Satan’s political system’s last gyrations
|
Revelation 17:12-14
Ten kings receive power for an hour so as to be part of this worlds system.
|
4.
Great
Tribulation |
|
|
Revelation 18:21-24
If my understanding is correct, then according to Jer 51:46, Babylon’s demise is the beginning of a two year Great Tribulation. The second year of which shall be global conflict in what probably will be a free for all type of war, not necessarily a world war.
This scenario makes sense if the world has begun suffering extreme hardship from rising seas and no food. I guess we shall find out. |
5.
Post Great Tribulation |
|
Revelation 14:1-7
All the Saints are shown together, this only happens at the wedding after the GT when the remaining Saints get gathered up in what mistakenly has been labelled rapture.
|
Revelation 19:6-8
Lamb’s marriage occurs. This means that all the Saints have been resurrected or transformed.
|
6. Armageddon |
Revelation 6:12-17
Armageddon sequence
|
Revelation 14:15-16
Matthew demonstrates that once this resurrection has occurred, then the harvest or Armageddon happens.
|
Revelation 19:14-21
Jesus goes out fighting with his armies. Armageddon is not so much a war as a cleanup process. There is no doubt as to the outcome of this conflict; it is an execution of the wicked, not a fight between the good and the evil. That fight has already been done, and Jesus won together with those who in faith gave their lives for the cause.
|
7.
Kingdom rule |
Revelation 7:9-10
Clearly taking place post-Armageddon
|
Rev 20. Satan and his demons are imprisoned in the abyss.
The chapter’s logic is not sequential, but thematic. The first resurrection in 4 -6 already occurred previously for the Lamb’s marriage. (See level 5) |
Rev 20:11-15
Armageddon’s harvest and judgment of the living having concluded, judgment now proceeds to the dead. All the dead are judged from their actions while they lived. If they were written in the book of life they receive a resurrection. This includes those who are resurrected as unrighteous, who receive a resurrection of judgment; they have to choose life or death.
Rev 21. Now that Satan is abyssed, God’s temple is with men.
|
8.
Satan's end |
|
|
Rev 20:7-10
Here the logic’s randomness is clearly seen. It is not sequential in time. |
